I am just mad that they didn't df us on the spot. I want to be df'd. As long as I am considered as part of the congregation the elders have some authority over me; I have to play their games according to their rules. Their rules suck! Although Drew is happy with the outcome, I think it is the worst way it could have played out. They want to wait until elder B gets a reply to his letter from the society, and meet again. Doesn't that take like six months or something? I just want it to be over. I'm not sure I like the idea of DA-ing because it is an action taken on my part. I would be the guilty party of ripping apart the family. I'm stuck...for now.

My situation might not be all that bad after all.
by R.F. inas many of you know, i've mentally left the organization but i'm still actively involved, even with positions of responsibility.
i wanted to do a successful quiet fade out of the org but at the same time i don't want any involvement with it.
i would love to send a da letter right now but some things had been holding me back.

Could you move to a congregation across town or where you're not very well known because you need a "fresh perspective" with all that has just happened to you. Go a few times then just forget to show up ever again. Just a thought.

Why not baptize at the kingdom hall?
by Mysterious inlots of churches baptize those willing right at the church why do you think the jws don't do the same?
would it be too "discouraging" in congregations where there were no new ones baptized for a long time.
maybe they are trying for a bandwagon effect?

There's the expence for the chemicals and they would probably build the pools cheaply so they would constantly need repaired, then the kids would try to play in it, probably additional liability insurance also. All that for something that would be used for 5 minutes every 3 years, not worth it.

Regarding Psychic Phenomena.
by Blueblades inwith the recent tv.
show ghost hunters 7 hours long shown live and on the internet with web cams planted all over the place from east pennslyvania pentitentiary on friday evening from 8pm to 3am, there were many responses from all over the country about people seeing images, ghosts etc.
for those who watched it, was this real or is it a great hoax.. i read that when it comes with dealing with hard evidence of life after death it's been shown that there are three classes of people.. there are those that ridicule idea of anything beyond the grave.. then there are those who have already accepted the evidence of continued existence beyond physical death.. the third group is often thrown offtrack when trying to get at the truth by the folks in the metaphysical camp.. which group do you belong to and why?

I think ghosts know more about quantum physics than humans do and they use thier superior knowledge to play tricks on us. Then they laugh.

If The Elders Decide To Get You-----They Will!!!
by minimus inplease never think that you can reason with an "older man", a "spiritual shepherd", an "elder".
elders already know what their agenda is.
if they want to talk with you, they control the format.

Yeah, I'm toast. No question about it. The only reason I'm going to the JC tonight is to show my family that I cooperated. They were told by an elder that things were in our favor and nobody wants us to be df'd. We are going to record the whole thing just incase the elders try to lie to my parents (which I think they probably will).

It promotes nationalism. We should have no pride in our nation or anything else except for Jehovah. So that means you can get together with your JW friends on Thanksgiving and have a big dinner but just make sure you don't have a big dinner with non-witness relatives.

Another thing you might mention to them tell them that the kingdom hall didn't have enough exercise equipment so thats why you joined the YMCA
LOL! I just might try that!
